Got the train from Rome to Castel Gamdolfo (40 mins) and arrived right beside Lake Albano. The lake is absolutely beautiful. There are plenty of places to eat on the waterfront and up the hill where you'll find the village. Definitely go if you can spend half a day out of Rome. Written 17 March 2023.
